KIERAN VYAS is an award-winning director, filmmaker and acting coach. With roots in acting, he has a BA Hons from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and has performed internationally in theatre, film and TV. As well as producing and directing his own films, Kieran has over 12 years experience across the film and theatre industries creating and directing a huge variety of narrative films, stage productions and community projects.

Kieran is the owner of Urban Young Actors and UYA Talent Agency, a member of the audition panel for Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and a director at Rendah Films.

DIRECTOR & FILMMAKER

As a filmmaker and director, Kieran has worked on a variety of film and stage productions in collaboration with the BBC, the National Theatre, Belgrade Film & Digital, Wyndham’s Theatre, Curve Theatre, Belgrade Theatre, Inspirate, New Art Exchange, Rendah Films and Breakin’ Convention, amongst many others. He’s also worked on a variety of film projects for award-winning theatre companies Total Insight Theatre and Strictly Arts including their groundbreaking TV series SEAVIEW. Kieran’s own short films have found success in national and international film festivals.

ACTING COACH

Kieran coaches actors for castings and roles in theatre, TV and film and has helped numerous actors to develop professional roles before and during production. He is based in Leicester and London but works all over the UK and is available for online coaching. Actors who have trained with Kieran have performed roles for West End theatres, the RSC, the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Netflix and more.

Kieran has spent many years working closely with top UK drama schools, teaching on BA and MA courses, directing projects, and sitting on the audition panels. He also runs his own drama school and agency in Leicester with a long list of notable alumni.

As well as working with professional actors, Kieran runs 1-to-1 coaching for actors with any level of experience and those who are auditioning for drama school. His students have been accepted into the top conservatoires in the UK.
