The Actors Centre: Unlocking Contemporary Text

Join me on 30th April for a workshop on Unlocking Contemporary Text at The Actors Centre as part of their Audition Series.

This will be a workshop on audition technique with a particular focus on auditioning for drama school. We’ll look at how to unlock contemporary text, how to prepare for an audition and what the panel is looking for. You’ll work on a contemporary monologue in groups and collectively explore making detailed choices and developing a three-dimensional character that lives in the moment.

The workshop will also touch on how to choose a good monologue and what to avoid, how to handle last-minute auditions and how to warm up.
